Terms of Service

Effective date: September 1, 2026.

  1. 1.About NextEventHQ. NextEventHQ ("we," "us") operates an online platform that helps people in the Rio Grande Valley find and send booking requests to independent event vendors and service providers ("Vendors"). We are an intermediary and directory only. We are not a party to any agreement, booking, communication, or transaction between users and Vendors.
  2. 2.Acceptance. By using the platform or creating an account, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
  3. 3.Eligibility. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or list as a Vendor.
  4. 4.Accounts. You are responsible for the accuracy of your information and for keeping your login secure, and for all activity under your account.
  5. 5.Vendors are independent. Vendors are independent businesses and individuals — not employees, agents, partners, or representatives of NextEventHQ. We do not employ, supervise, direct, endorse, guarantee, vet, or control any Vendor, and we do not verify licenses, insurance, or qualifications unless expressly stated.
  6. 6.Bookings are between you and the Vendor. Booking requests, quotes, payments for services, contracts, and the events themselves are solely between the user and the Vendor. We only pass along booking requests and messages. We are not responsible for whether a Vendor responds, shows up, performs, or meets expectations.
  7. 7.Vendor subscriptions and billing. Vendors pay a flat monthly subscription to be listed; we take no commission on bookings and Vendors keep 100% of what they charge. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You may cancel anytime; cancellation stops future renewals and the listing deactivates at the end of the current paid period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law, and partial months are not refunded. Payments are processed by Stripe, and by subscribing you also agree to Stripe's terms; we do not store full card details. We may change prices with notice, effective for future billing periods.
  8. 8.Assumption of risk. Users and Vendors deal with each other at their own risk and are solely responsible for evaluating and vetting one another, including verifying licenses and insurance.
  9. 9.No liability for conduct at events or between users and Vendors. To the fullest extent permitted by law, NextEventHQ and its owners, members, and affiliates are not responsible or liable for the acts, omissions, services, quality, safety, or performance of any Vendor or user, or for any injury, illness, accident, property damage, theft, loss, harassment, discrimination, misconduct, or dispute arising out of any interaction, booking, event, or transaction between users and Vendors — whether online, at an event, or elsewhere.
  10. 10.Release. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release NextEventHQ and its owners, members, and affiliates from all claims, demands, and damages arising out of any dispute or interaction between users and Vendors.
  11. 11.Vendor content and conduct. Vendors are responsible for the accuracy of their listings and for their own services, licenses, taxes, and insurance. You agree not to post false, misleading, unlawful, infringing, or harmful content, and not to misuse the platform.
  12. 12.Intellectual property. The platform, its content, and the NextEventHQ name and logos are owned by NextEventHQ. You keep ownership of content you post but grant us a license to display it on the platform.
  13. 13.Disclaimers. The platform is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that listings are accurate or that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free.
  14. 14.Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the platform will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $100, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  15. 15.Indemnification. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NextEventHQ and its owners from claims, losses, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the platform, your content, or your interactions with other users or Vendors.
  16. 16.Termination. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
  17. 17.Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, and disputes are subject to the courts located in Cameron County, Texas.
  18. 18.Changes. We may update these Terms; continued use means you accept the changes.
